What the New Year Brings, greatly depends on what you bring to the New Year

There’s just something about a New Year isn’t there?
Excitement, new adventure, a “new you”, change,
Change.
New Year thoughts often bring about thoughts of change.
Change.
Having been through the pandemic of the last 20 months many of us are experiencing change in some way or another anyway, but what about those changes you can control?
Those that will bring you the best year yet, that bring out the best version of YOU. A better one than last year.
What have you got planned this year that ensure’s you don;t just slip back into habits of old but just wrapper in a new package label with 2022 on it?
If you know me you know I don’t do resolutions, I don’t really do goals anymore. Instead I like to write effectively a long “To do” list at the start of the year.
It often includes some sort of learning, a challenge outside of running, races (obviously!), books I want to read, fitness classes I’d like to try, places I’d like to travel, adventures, work, personal & family things to do.
From this list I can then reference it to decide what changes / plans I need to make in order to get those ticks in the box.
Without some sort of list or idea on what you’d like to bring into the New Year it’s very difficult to bring about changes.
And if you don’t bring change to 2022 how can you expect it to be any different from 2021.
The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.
A New Year.
A fresh start.
A new chapter in life waiting to be written.
