So an evening without social media.
Simply wonderful?
Or did you find yourself lost?

Me! I did. I did.
From a personal perspective I don’t spend alot of time on social media but as a business it’s been vital in both growth and for building a virtual community, however for one night it was lovely to just step back and gain some much needed head space after a busy weekend.
It did get me thinking about how much time does the average person spend on social media though?
After doing a bit of googleing (I am definitely the queen of google) I was quite shocked to read that according to “We are social” an average user spent 2 hours and 24 minutes per day on social media in 2020 and in 2021 it increased to 2 hours 33 minutes.
This compared to just an hour back in 2012.
How the world is changing.
Social media is not all endless scrolling though, we know social media has a purpose, be it to check on your friends, recommendations, stalk your ex, find the right outfit or my favourite right now … to find a petrol station with petrol !
Social media has a powerful influence on our daily activities BUT 2 hours 33 minutes a day is a lot.
2 hours 33 minutes.
And yet many of us say we don’t have time to exercise, eat properly, get outside, read ‘that’ book, do that course, re-train, learn a new skill.
2 hours 33 minutes.
Are you guilty?
So how about taking the positives from a forced night away from social media.
2 hours 33 minutes working on YOU.
With our virtual studio classes all between 20-30 minutes maximum that still gives you 2 hours 3 minutes to fill. Our running groups are mostly between 45-60 minutes. Still leaving you with extra time for those extras outside of health & fitness.
Just imagine what YOU could acheive in that time.
So this week I want you to think about how less phone time can bring you that extra time to work on YOU.
