***This is me – 2019 overview. The Truth***
***This is me – 2019***
From the social media outlook what a year I’ve had but my *this is me* blog isn’t just about the best bits, I aim to show the struggles, the reality behind any physical challenge and how I overcome them.
‘The outside world view’

‘The reality’
Severe anxiety, anxiety attacks, insomnia and huge self doubt leading into my boxing match
Mixing long distance running with a sprint programme
Overuse Achilles injury
A strained Achilles injury in July that put any sprint specific training on hold
The negatives voices
Calf issues before the 4 x 100 & 4 x 400 relay
Juggling ‘life’ – A single mum. 3 children. A business owner. Clients. Training for me.
And still now, as I sit here injury free, strong, at my fittest, the self doubt is very real as I head into 2020 and the challenges ahead.
This is me – the bare truth and battles of any athlete.
I wouldn’t change a thing though – this is where my learning is, my growing. This is where I understand and can empathise with the real struggles of my clients and runners, the mental and physical battles that come with any goal.
My love of coaching and helping others pushes me to overcome any hurdle thrown at me. I take this experience and knowledge to help my clients and my runners – that’s where my real love is … to help others believe when they don’t … help them ‘achieve the unthinkable’.
As ever this year has brought many wonderful people to my team behind the scenes, I can’t thank you all enough ! Heidi from FastTrack Fit Camp always at the centre of every challenge ?, her husband Dale for his hypotherapy, Geeta from pranic healing, Amanda from back to motion for doing her best with often done very tired legs, Daniel from in your corner personal training, Kyle from KG fitness, Nathan my sprint coach from Reading AC, Sue, Reading AC masters team manager, Caroline, Reading AC for being inspiration of focus, Joe, for always being the last text I send and text I read before any challenge, my training partners, the GB team for being so welcoming, my parents, John and Pam, my close friends Sarah, Vanessa, my running girls, Anne, Jo, Julie and Lisa, the FastTrack Fit Campers especially my early risers crew, every one of my clients and running bugs who inspire me to continue, of course my 3 children who I dare to dream and to never give up and my sponsors of 2019 of which without none of my achievements would have happened.
