***Elite Conditioning on Lockdown – we give you more than just a fitness program – we give you a community***
‘You guys are giving me a reason to get up in the morning at the moment, thankyou’ …
‘Better together’ member April 2020
So much has changed since i last wrote. We knew ‘lockdown’ was coming but I don’t think any of us were prepared for it so soon.
Over just the period of one week Elite Conditioning went from a buzzing commuinty of group runners, 1-2-1 PT & running clients and community classes to nothing.
There really is no sugar coating of how I felt. It hit me hard, not just the financial worry’s but everything i’ve worked so hard to build over the last 18 years felt like it was gone …. forever.
I watched as every other trainer around me lept whole heartedly into the world of virtual teaching, advertising their offerings in all the local social media groups, email after email with saying how it was business as usual but virtually.
I really didn’t want to jump into anything, with my own 3 children on different school routines (unfortunatley I am dealing with 3 seperate school demands) I had to ensure their routine was established first as a priority. Routine is key. I also wanted to build something that wasn’t just about offering fitness classes.
Something that gave my followers and clients more.
One that brought a healthier lifestyle.
That worked on the mind as well as the body.
That helped people connect.
A program that gave them routine.
A program that was flexible and worked around their routine.
A program that gave back to the community.
After 10 long days of thoughts, writing, ideas, contacting various collegues, friends, myself and Kirsty Boswell of Fit in Minutes and Elite Conditioning running instructor launched the ‘Better Together’ 30 day Health & Fitness Program for just £30 and free to NHS staff & Key workers.
We are now into week 2 and the positive feedback just keeps rolling in. The one key thing that shines through is the fact that becauses all mindset, social events, fitness classes are recorded members can set their own routine should the live version not work to their family / work schedule.
There’s a real sense of community in the group and it’s turned out to be everything I wanted it to be and more.
It looks very much like we are here for the long haul rather than short so we’ve started work on our 30 day program for May where the focus is Health & Happiness.
30 days.
30+ workouts (inlcuding Insanity, Pilates, PiYo, HITT and ALL NEW Barre Fitness & Breathing 101 classes)
30 5 minute happiness tasks
30 Daily challenges
30 Healthy recipes (all different from April)
4 Pathway to happiness workshops
4 Social events, including pop up art, Make up class and Salsa dancing
I am a social butterfly, I love connecting with clients, friends, people and making a difference so this program brings everything I love about my job rolled into one complete package. I am so overwhelmed by the support I’ve received and thank everyone involved in helping us bring this to the Elite Conditioning world and helping me find my routine around my new commitments and role under lockdown.
Of course I know Elite Conditioning as we know it is not gone forever, our Running bugs are checking in daily and grateful for being able to get out and run still and we will be back. With time now to develop some further ideas that i had ‘shelved’ whilst life took over i now have time to develop them further so i feel the return might be something quite special.
If you need any help setting a routine, a new running or fitness plan drop me a message, working together really is making everything so much easier and afterall isn’t life ‘better together’?
