***This is me – Family health first***
So it’s been tough, the European championships I had so worked hard towards postponed, then followed the cancellation of the World championships. As most of you know I really love having a goal, it really does motivate me. However I am actually really grateful for this chance to have no goal. Have no pressure on performance.
Following on from my boxing match last year it has felt very much like one goal after another and then another and another. This lock down has given me a real chance to catch my breath. Of course I am still training, track sessions are done on road with my youngest son Jayden, my personal training sessions have been replaced with 3 sessions with FastTrack Fit camp with my daugher, Jasmine, my usual runs with clients have been replaced with training my eldest as he looks to keep fit for the return of the Football season and i am fortunate enough to be able to continue with the majority of my gym routines with the equipment I have from my own Personal Training with clients.
Having only just returned to athletics training late last year we had only really focused on technique so with no big events now until 2021 I can continue to maintain my fitness during this time whilst keeping my familiy fit. moving and healthy mentally. It really is my priority in this moment
It’s a real joy to have my children actually WANT to train with me and I am loving every minute of our 1-2-1 time. They found what they love to do and we do it and it fits. From a training perspective i don’t think I could be in a happier place right now.
