End 2019 Strong
Achieve the unthinkable
Can you believe Christmas is just 2 months today? This probably means that your diary is beginning to fill with festive activities, socials, children’s activities and with that the energy and enthusiasm for exercise and all things fitness is flagging and gone from the top of the priority list that it proudly sat at the start of 2019.
You’re not alone. With the darker nights, the shorter days even the toughest of tough can struggle to find the motivation to get out and exercise.
So you probably feel like you’re going to end 2019 with a whimper rather than a bang or are you?
2 months is a good amount of time to still at least get some achievement out of the year. Plenty of time to re-set, re-evaluate and end the year strong. Yes of course we all welcome that end of year breather, the time to reflect and enjoy downtime but you can also still end it with a feeling of real accomplishment, so that you’ll start 2020 on a high note rather than with a replicate list of ftiness goals that you set back in January 2019.
Firstly look at your fitness goals from 2019. Was it to lose weight? Was it to run your first 10 km or half marathon or even a marathon? Was it to find routine and consistency? Maybe it was to find balance or a realistic fitness routine that didn’t leave you feeling like you had failed every week.
Either way if there was a goal that you didn’t achieve (maybe there is more than 1) choose NOW to start, start before 2020. Why wait? Get ahead of the game.
Now is a good time to connect with a fitness coach, whether that be the gym instructor at your local gym, your Aerobics class teacher, a personal trainer, or local running group. TELL someone what you want to achieve and get started on now (make yourself accountable). Gain some insight and advice on how you can start to work towards your 2020 fitness goals NOW.
Not only will these steps help you utilise the last few months of the to their full potential but you’ll find that it will help you enjoy them too. Instead of the very common winter and seasonal guilt about not getting stuff done and still not having achieved those New Year goals of past you can relax into the season knowing your one step ahead of 2020.
With Elite Conditioning running groups, Elite Strong Community Fitness classes all starting back on Sunday 3rd November and of course the 1-2-1 Training and running coaching options you don’t need to look to far to get that kick start you need to help you finish 2019 as strong as you aim to start 2020.
